No doubt there’ll soon be a new name on the rent book for whoever ends up living in the Hampstead Garden Suburb house owned by Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, son of the former Libyan leader.
It was on the market in February at a rental value of £9,750 per week, small change when compared with the billions in Libyan assets already seized across the world.
But then, in March, the house was seized by a group called “Topple The Tyrants” who vowed to stay until they were confident that the property’s £10 million in assets would be returned to the Libyan people.
The house was a beauty. Perhaps a bit showy for our taste, but you can’t argue with a suede-lined cinema room. Take another peek here:
