The madness of the Mudeford Beach Hut market continues …
A few weeks ago one sold for £126,000 – a price that ensured national coverage and much head-scratching.
Now another has just come on the market with an asking price of £145,000.
Why the higher price? Well, apparently this one has “a mezzanine sleeping area and can sleep up to six people.”
It measures 15ft by 10ft, and, aside from said mezzaine, boasts a solar panel, a new gas fridge, gas oven/grill and new decking area.
Despite the price, Andrew Denison of Denisons estate agency reckons he’ll be beating people away from his door:
“The last beach hut sold within a few days for the full asking price. There is a real demand for these properties as they don’t come onto the market very often. They tend to get passed onto family or friends,” he said.
“I’ve already got a waiting list of people to call who wanted me to let them know when another one came on the market.”
